- 450 g quality pork sausages squeeze the sausage meat out of the casings
- 450 g chicken mince
- 170 g tasty cheese grated
- 80 g tasty cheese cut into small cubes
- ½ cup jar Jalapenos chopped
- 1 carrot grated
- 1 granny smith apple grated
- 1 Small bunch chives chopped
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- Salt & pepper
- 4 sheets puff pastry
- 1 egg whisked
- 3 tablespoons Black sesame seeds
Defrost the pastry sheets on the bench while you prepare the sausage roll filling.
Preheat the oven 180 degrees, spray or line a large baking tray.
In a large bowl combine the meats, breaking down the sausage meat.
Mix in the cheeses, jalapeno, grated carrot and apple, chives, onion powder, garlic powder and salt + pepper.
Divide the mixture evenly across the pastry sheets and roll up the pastry into a firm roll with overlap of pastry on the underside of the sausage roll.
Brush the top of the pastry with egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
Bake for 40 minutes.
