It’s the 3rd episode in my Food Prep Friday series 1/3/2024 which is live over on YouTube.
Every Friday I share my FOOD PREP FRIDAY on YouTube, where I prepare food/ingredients for my family for the upcoming week to save money and time in the kitchen. Every week is different and I love sharing tips and tricks along the way. Check out my introduction post here where I explain all the benefits and why I food prep. You can watch the first-ever FOOD PREP FRIDAY here.
This week I made:
Washing powder made in the Thermomix, x1 batch – recipe in The Style Aesthetic Ebook Bundle
Dishwasher powder top up x1 batch, I prefer low tox for my kitchen dishwasher products, and I use white vinegar for my rinse aid.
- 1 cup baking soda
- 1/4 cup citric acid
Traybake crumpets saves time standing over a stovetop using fiddly rings, making tray-bake crumpets also lets you make the crumpets whatever size you like (think fingers or large slices). I made x6 large square crumpets to freeze for breakfasts or a quick snack, my favourite is butter and honey on crumpets – recipe to come.
Seed bread is made in the Thermomix to slice and freeze for the next few weeks, it’s my favourite bread to toast and I always have it on hand in the freezer. I generally pull out 3-4 slices at a time and store it in a container in the fridge – Recipe.
Cinnamon swirl bread to slice and freeze for breakfast toast or lunch boxes – recipe to come.
Fig, Cardamom & Honey cake, for my Mum’s birthday lunch – find the recipe here.
Choc banana muffins x24, to freeze for lunch boxes, I pull these out each morning to pop into lunch boxes and they are defrosted in time for morning tea – Recipe in The Style Aesthetic Ebook Bundle
Grated cheese in the Thermomix in seconds – 370g, to have on hand in the fridge for the week for pizzas and meals.
Caramelised Onions, prepared for pastry tarts for my Mum’s birthday Lunch. Having caramelised onions on hand in the fridge is perfect for adding to savoury breakfasts, sandwiches and burgers during the week.
- 50g butter
- 3 onions, thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar.
I ran out of time to make a chocolate brownie.

Loving your weekly Food Prep Friday series 🙂 Just curious how long it took you to make all that stuff? Also what to do list/prioritizing app do you use that you showed at the end of this video?

Hey Bridget, I’m so glad you’re enjoying the Food Prep Series. I’m actually not the best at recording my time but I think this prep day was around 3 hours. I use the Asana app (to run my whole life haha)
